Pearl River Estuary (PRE) is a transition zone where the second largest river in China connects to the (SCS). This makes Pearl River Delta system one of the most active economic zones in the world. Ocean Dynamics and Modeling (ODMP) aids the environment and ecosystem studies in the PRE and its adjacent regions to provide scientific support and assistance for the marine environmental management and administration of this region. Its primary functions include:
