HKUST Alumni Join Fight against COVID-19 with Antimicrobial Technology - Cloned
(From right) HKUST alumni Donald LAI and Winsor LEE, who earned Bachelor’s degrees from the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering and worked on research projects at the University, joined the same company after graduation where they continue to further their research and apply their engineering knowledge, which in turn has contributed to society during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Donald still vividly remembers the old days when he and his fellow ExCo members of the Chemical and Biological Engineering Students’ Society took photos in front of the sundial sculpture at the piazza. One of his goals is to pursue a PhD, preferably also at HKUST.
Winsor, who is from Malaysia, is more than happy with his decision to study engineering abroad at HKUST and to work in Hong Kong, although his family members sometimes urge him to return home.
